version 2.02
Added download counting, and "Uploaded by" features to CDUpdate.cmd
for Registered users.
Fixed some bugs - see history.txt
version 2.01
Added a few menu items. Now from the "R)eview Logs" menu, you may also
fill requests, which previously had errored, from the error.log.
version 2.0
CD Carousel now fully supports user privileges and locks/keys. What this
means is that you can have one copy of CD Carousel to list all your CD's,
by priv/lock, to the user. When the user requests a file, the users priv/
locks are copied along with the file into the new files.bbs. This means that
you can have your Adult CD's, CD's only available to paid members, and CD's
available to everyone listed in CD Carousel by priv/lock, and 'filled' to the
same download directory. Only those with the proper privs/keys will be able to
see and or download them.
Unfortunately if you select this option, You will no longer be able to set the
file for a free d/l using /tb etc. and files in the download dir will no
longer show up in the new files listing. This is because of the way Max
handles (actually, the way Max doesn't handle) priv/locks in the files.bbs
CD Carousel now also handles more than one installed CD Rom player.
For registered users, the file area is now updated based on who downloaded the
file, not just that the file was downloaded. This means that if Joe Blow
requests a file, and someone else with the same priv/key see's it an downloads
it, no update will occur. Only when Joe Blow d/l's it with CDUpdate take
action.
A log is also kept of who requested what and when, for your statistical pleasure.
version 1.3e - internal release
Added Privilege and lock support.
Added log of Requests
version 1.3d
Fixed a bug that showed up only when using CMD.EXE, and not 4OS2.EXE.
CDMaint would error when filling requests for files that were already
in the Files.bbs.
version 1.3c
Fixed bug which would sometimes cause wrong first name to be entered in
the message to the user.
Stripped extra space from alias names.
Fixed bug which caused first user in request file to get duplicate messages.
Fixed bug which resulted in a SYS0003 error when running CMD.EXE, it worked
ok with 4OS2.EXE
version 1.3b
Added support for single word names. Users may now have either First,
First and Last, or First Middle and Last names.
version 1.3a
Fixed small bug in user message.
version 1.3
CD Carousel now cleans up the file area after itself. In registered
versions, the new file CDUpdate.cmd manages the download directory.
CD Carousel now writes only one message to the user listing all of his
fulfilled requests.( >10 requests generate a second msg)
Added the option of having the CD Setup utility prompt you for inclusion
of each detected file area. This allows you to decide which areas are
made available to the users.
Added some input error checking to CDConvrt.cmd
Colorized CDConvrt.cmd
Fixed a bug which caused CD Carousel to lock up or exit with a SYS3171
error.
version 1.2 *** ADDED New config parameter. You MUST update your CDCAR.CFG
CD Carousel can now be used to search for files on your Online CD.
Everything works the same way but instead of generating a request, CD
Carousel imediately copies the requested files from the ONLINE CD to
your request directory.
version 1.1 *** ADDED New config parameter. You MUST update your CDCAR.CFG
Fixed extra space in user name which was preventing user from getting
notified that his request was satisfied. I dont know how this bug got
out since I had fixed it before....too many versions on my disk I guess;)
Added new cdcar.cfg parameter to allow messages to users to be either
public or private.
version 1.0
First public release
